How do I buy a truck?

1  What is Truck1.eu and what trucks are presented on the site?

All vehicles on our site are sold by truck dealers without intermediaries. The dealers are companies from every corner of Europe; it ensures high level of competition and wide choice of vehicles.

Truck1.eu does not charge for actual sale or purchase of the vehicles. The price, deadlines and delivery terms are strictly business of the buyer and the seller. Our main goal is to connect you with the seller and to make your communication easier.

3  How do I find specific truck or trailer?

All trucks on Truck1.eu are divided into the 6 main categories:

  • Truck tractors
  • Trucks
  • Semitrailers and trailers
  • Buses
  • Construction equipment
  • Other

To start your search, click on the icon of the vehicle category. Then choose make, year of production, mileage, price and click "Search". You will be shown search results according to your query.

Click the vehicle you like and you will see detailed information - 5 pictures, specification, location, phone number and contact form to get in touch with the seller.

 4  What is "export price"?

Export price essentially differs from the price for internal EU market. The main reason is the value added tax, for Germany for example it makes 16% from sale price. Naturally, VAT concerns only sellers - companies; if a truck belongs to a person there will be no VAT and export price will be the same as internal price.

So if a German truck dealer sells a truck to the internal market (to the buyer residential in EU), he must add VAT 16% to sale price and after the deal he must transfer these funds to his tax authority. And if a truck is sold for export (buyer will drive the truck out of the EU), than the German seller does not add VAT to sale price but he must show his tax authority the document confirming that the truck has left EU borders - this is tax declaration with customs office stamp.

This buyer or his autotransporting company will receive this document on the EU border. This document should be sent to the seller and he will show it to tax authority.

However many buyers do not carry out this agreement with sellers; in this case seller will have to pay 16% of the sale price out of his own pocket. That is why after such occasions many sellers do not trust the buyers and demand paying VAT regardless of the truck destination; they agree to refund VAT to the buyer only after he (buyer) sends them export declaration. You can send export declaration to the seller by registered letter.

5  I need additional info on the specific vehicle.

Complete specification of a vehicle takes several pages. So if you have questions - ask the dealers. They will gladly respond.

 6  I don't speak German, what do I do?

7  I have only pictures and description of the trucks, how can I be sure to buy a good vehicle?

There are no guarantees. But vehicle sellers presented on our site are companies with business reputation, they have been in this business for many years. They are interested in you being happy with the purchased vehicle and coming back to them again.

Nevertheless your attention and common sense are vital for successful deal. Here are several points you should pay attention to.

If you are not sure about technical condition of the vehicle, you should ask for service station check. It will let you to know everything about the condition of the vehicle. Besides, many of our dealers have status of authorized service stations.

Service history of the truck can also help you much. Pay attention to all details. For example worn tires would really cost you, as new tires cost 250 Euro for 1 wheel.

If you have possibility to go see the vehicle - use it. The seller can help you with invitation, hotel and so on. Of course you should think if such trip would be rational comparing to the cost of the vehicle.
